I write music and words, and I move between places until they start making sense. Finland gave me a Nordic mindset. Panama gave me back the light. Now I’m heading home to Helsinki.

As a composer I go by Denis Laporte, mainly: dark, atmospheric music that sits somewhere between a film score and three in the morning. On the other side of the industry, I help artists find their sound, their image and the people who need to hear them.

I keep field notes on places, people and love, and on the things we trade away for comfort. Some of them turn into songs, some into stories.
